Afonso is a graduate of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Management, and was the first employee of Enersis. Joined the company in 1988 and was Financial Director until March 1997 when he was appointed to the board. After 1997 until 2008 he was the executive manager of Enersis fully controlling the group and its development strategy.

When Afonso entered the board, he was responsible for the implementation of the new strategy of developing wind projects. Also in 2004, he was responsible for the going of Enersis to France, having accompanied close the first moves there, and defining Enersis' strategy of implantation and development there.

Afonso has a solid experience in negotiation, due to the large number of M&A processes in which he has been involved and conducted. Afonso is very well known in the Portuguese banking community, due to the many successful project financings and capital raisings which have been undertaken.

Edgar is a graduate of Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and joined Enersis Group in 2002 as Head of Development.

In this role he was responsible for the development of the group's hydro and wind portfolios in Portugal and France.

Before joining Enersis, Edgar held management positions in the development of thermal and renewable energy generation projects.

Edgar is a Portuguese national and, in addition to Portuguese, is fluent in English, Spanish and French.

A graduate of Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade de Lisboa, in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, João joined Enersis group in 1994 and was appointed Group Technical Director in 1997.

Since joining Enersis, João has been responsible for the design, development and deployment of the group's proprietary SCADA system in both the fleet of hydro power projects and the extensive portfolio of wind assets in Portugal and France.

He is also responsible for the technical management and operations of the wind farm portfolio, construction management services and group IT functions.

Prior to joining Enersis, João held a number of senior management positions in R&D and system implementation in the defence and industrial sectors in North America and Europe.

A leading figure in the renewable energy sector, João represents the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association in technical discussions with Government and statutory bodies.

Ricardo is a graduate of Universidade Lusíada, in Management, and joined Enersis Group in October 1996 as assistant to the Financial Director.

He was appointed to his present position of Financial Director for the Group in January 2002. In this role he was responsible for the accounting, treasury, fiscal and legal departments.

Ricardo also manages the capital investment agenda of the group, including analysis, financial modeling and financial risk management; and is responsible for all banking relationships and for the negotiation of corporate and project finance facilities with lenders. He managed the 1 billion euro refinancing of the Enersis portfolio in 2006 (Renewable Deal of the Year - PFI awards).
