4GREEN team will liaise with local and national government bodies to secure necessary licenses and permits for the construction and operation of the wind farms and the associated electrical infrastructure.
Along with the licensing phase, 4GREEN is responsible for coordinating the scope of equipment supply, organizing the tender, carrying out technical and economic analysis of the bids from the various suppliers, leading contract negotiations and making a proposal for awarding the contract.
closeOperation & Maintenance
Once the wind farm starts operations, day-to-day activity is managed in-house by WHS and its O&M team. Field technicians and supervisors use the proprietary Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system developed by WHS that also supports sophisticated data management and reporting systems.
WHS is one of the most experienced, independent providers of technical management services in the renewable energy sector. In relation to the wind assets, the turbine manufacturers provide operations and maintenance services under the WOM agreements, and so WHS's role is to perform close supervision of the assets and turbine services, and to focus on maximizing production. WHS also typically is responsible for the substations and operates the portfolio of meteorological towers.
One of WHS greatest strengths is its proprietary systems development, which allows supervision, operations and reporting to be based upon systems entirely independent from manufacturers. Systems development work is centered on three areas:
- automation;
- telecommunications;
- control systems.
WHS has designed, developed, installed and implemented software and hardware automation systems to control substations, hydro turbines, data loggers and wind data acquisition. WHS distributed and centralized integrated telecommunication systems, based both on proprietary and standard communications and protocols, allowing for permanent surveillance, 24 hours per day, of all installations. The control systems integrate automation and telecommunications, enabling optimized command and regulation of all equipments including data acquisition.
