Enersis is built and run along four key guiding principles:
Operational excellence and independence
Wind and hydro are "use it or lose it" resources- availability is essential. Need own team and measurement tools to ensure this and assess project value, particularly repowering. Management has operated 18 turbine models from 7 OEMs and built its own SCADA system and done all of its development.
Scale is critical for operational and commercial benefits, whether in relation to OEMs or financiers. Each of the four portfolios built by the Enersis team have been leaders in their markets and Enersis was one of the largest independent players in Europe
Financing discipline
The team has done more than [40] separate project financings for its projects, and its Experience has been recognised by Euromoney "Deal of the Year' awards.The team has strong relationships with banks and has been able to finance through difficult markets, including the current one.
Term equity commitment
Enersis is owned by management, who invest on a term basis.
